My wife, Lorna and I have decided

families, small companies and retirees. Even if you can't take the time off to spend a year on Boracay maybe one of your
friends or family is ready to retire or for an extended stay in the Philippines

( Australians ), one kiwi ( New Zealander ), five Yanks, one from Arizona, four from California, two Scottish guys, one
Englishman staying with us on a yearly basis and another American from Maine who arrived Nov 1 for a
six month stay.
We are in the process of building 3 more long term stay units and since it seems that most of
our guests prefer the larger units these will be P168,000 & P192,000 / year for a spacious studio, a one bedroom
or with optional 2 bedroom floor plan apartment unit with floor area of 670 square foot ( 60 square meters )
in other words about the double the size of the standard P96,000 / year units. The approximate completion dates for ground
floor unit is Dec. 5, the second floor unit with a peak of the sea before Christmas and the third floor unit with
view of the sea by mid-January 2008.
Cost of Living
Examples; Cable TV 300 / month. water meters for each unit measure your usage but usually it's from P300
to P500 / month, same with electric meters for each unit which measure your usage usually from P1000 to P4000/ month
but maybe cheaper depending on your usage of the AC ( 900 watts ) and Electric HOT showers ( 1000 to 3000 watts ) and
internet access P500 to 1000 / month, and P200/ month garbage collection. Beer by the case is P16 / each softdrinks by the
case is P10 to P30 depending in size, rice P30 / kg, pork P / kg, fish P110 to P300 / kg, chicken P110 to P130 / kg and the
majority of restaurant meals from P110 to P470 / U$2.50+ to U$11 ( for all you can eat buffet at the Boracay Regency
5 star hotel ). Local meals like a variety of rice toppings with rice from homecooked "turo turo" eateries and local
meals served by Filipino fast food chain restaurants P40 to P75.
SUB-LET
OPTIONS; Since we first offered these long term deals in 2002 very few guests have chosen to sub-let their
units but for those long term guests who are interested, we can accept short term bookings at our daily and monthly rates
for your room which we keep 20% booking commission and save the balance for you or deposit it in your local bank account while
you are absent. Taking advantage of this offer provides you with your own small "home on the beach" where you can
invite friends or family or rent it daily when you're not staying or sublet it part of the year to make
it even more economical. Or share one cottage room with a 2 or 3 other friends or family members so you get 3 or 4 months
a year each, costing each of you only "pocket money" to hang out in "paradise". Also we allow and help
our long term guests to customize their unit to suit their individual needs so they feel more at home.
LOCATION: We are about 350 meters SOUTH ( to the right facing
the island ) of Boat Station # 3, the FIRST stop on the main White Beach in Angol between White Beach Divers and the 357 Resort.
From Cagban Jetty Port take a tricycle to the Tree Top Resort formerly known as ALYSSA ( P100 ), walk to the beach turn right
and we are the 3rd resort, 45 meters away. Other nearby resorts are Angol Point, Surfside and the Philippine Airlines Office
at Marzon Resort is the midpoint between us and the boat station # 3, the FIRST STOP on Boracay's main white beach.

Update: Cottage 5 has been rented by Reese from southern California
until May 2008, the huge ground floor studio apartment near the beach with floor area of 80sqm ( 900sqft ) has been
rented by David from New Zealand until Sept 2008. Joe from Maine has rented cottage # 14 for six months until late April 2008.
Raymond & Rose are building their own house so have given us notice that their 2 bedroom unit formerly cottage #s 8 &
9 will be available Jan 22, 2008 or possibly sooner if their house is finished on schedule. As
of Today, Dec. 4, 2007 Bob from Oregon ( & NY ) has rented both of our 2nd floor Seaview Deluxe Rooms facing the sea for
one year. At
PRESENT,DEC. 4, 2007 our cottages and rooms available on a yearly basis are FULLY BOOKED until the NEW units are ready and
Jan 22, 2008.
We are busy with a 3rd floor addition of 3 huge condo style
apartments with floor areas of 60sqm ( 670 sqft ) with 3 choices of layout, one being a huge open studio, two being a one
bedroom apt and three, being a two bedroom apt. The ground floor unit will be ready for occupancy the middle of December 2007,
the 2nd floor unit by Christmas or at the latest first week in January 2008 and the 3rd floor unit by the end of January 2008.
The yearly rent on the ground floor & 2nd floor units will be P168,000 / year & on the 3rd floor unit with view of
the sea, P192,000 / year. We have decided to NO
LONGER offer our former six month high season option due to many conflicts with our daily weekly & monthly bookings.
Guests with Children; Boracay is a fantastic
place for your children to become familiar with the beauty of "mother nature" in the Philippines and be introduced to many water sports and other physical
activities inconvenient or not available in Manila
or other larger cities. The rising cost of living in Europe,
North America, N.E. Asia and
large cities in developing countries make such activities expensive and difficult to manage for exhausted parents doing their
best to make a living. Kids on Boracay can play on the beach, wander around, having fun, freely, in a safe environment without
their parents worrying and only requiring their kids to be home for meals. Our daughter, Camilla, going on 20 years old now
treasures her childhood memories growing up on Boracay. And now, Brent International School, with an excellent reputation, opened
